The book I would like to comment is "SOL DE INVERNO" by Rosa Aneiros.
This book came to me in an important stage of my life.
I had a flatmate related to that book. Her name is Eva Carrion. Eva was the translator of this book from Galician into Spanish.
My relationship with Eva was very good. We spent many afternoons in the salon. While I was studying she was translating the book.
Reading a book and then being able to discuss with one of the people who produce the book doesn't have price.
This interesting novel stars Inverno from his adolescence to maturity. From "Antes" (his village in Galicia) to his return, the love for his father and the flight before the war that leads to the family to Barcelona, France and Cuba, where the roots of his mother and father (the two sons of Galician emigrants) are.
A new character that will be very important in the novel appears in Cuba:her grandmother Luzdivina, who dies of Alzheimer, after telling her life, which was full of hardship.
His father, Alfredo, is always a reference for Inverno.
The novel tells us about the Civil War, the Second World War, the revolution of 68 student and topics such as migration…
Antes is the spatial beginning and end of the story which opens and closes the cycle of life the Inverno
This is one of the novels but long-marking.
I loved this novel. She reminds me of my friend Eva.
I recommend this book.
